Brigadier General Prof. Dr. Md Bashidul Islam (Retd), Founder and Chairman of the Caregivers Institute of Bangladesh (CIB), is a pioneer in caregiver training in Bangladesh. Born in Sirajgonj, Pabna, in 1962, he graduated with an MBBS from Sir Salimullah Medical College in 1987 and joined the Bangladesh Army Medical Corps in 1988. The Caregiver Institute of Bangladesh (CIB) is a pioneering non-government, non-political, and non-profitable organization dedicated to transforming lives through healthcare education. Established in early 2019, CIB is located in the heart of Mohammadpur, Dhaka, and has grown into the premier caregiving education and training institution in the country.
